Abstract
This paper explores women's entrepreneurship in Bangladesh's Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector, focusing on entrepreneurs' views on training effectiveness, the main challenges they face, and their self-assessed ability to identify opportunities. The study adopts a quantitative, descriptive approach, analyzing survey data from 286 women SME owners across various sectors in Bangladesh. The findings tell a compelling story of resilience, hurdles, and potential. This research demonstrates strong resilience, self-efficacy, and active participation in entrepreneurship training as essential tools for business development, sustainability, and adapting to emerging market trends. It provides valuable insights into the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in a major developing economy. The results highlight the importance of policies that extend beyond financial aid, embracing a broader, gender-sensitive approach that tackles socio-cultural barriers, strengthens professional networks, and fosters women's innovative capacities to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
