Abstract
Information technology's (IT) quick development has produced several advantages, including improved operational effectiveness and creativity. But there are also difficult IT security issues brought up by this development. This study investigates the challenges organizations encounter with their security systems due to a range of threats, such as ransomware, malware, and human error. This study looks at both effective and unsuccessful IT security tactics using the case study method. The results highlight the significance of staff awareness, identity management flaws, and the growing sophistication of cyberattacks. The significant consequences of security breaches are demonstrated by case studies such as the E-KTP data leak in Indonesia, the propagation of Emotet virus, and the BPJS Health data leak. The study comes to the conclusion that, in order to protect their digital assets in the face of a constantly changing threat landscape, organizations need to adopt a proactive security approach that combines cutting-edge technology, thorough policies, and continual personnel training.
