The Concept of Bricolage with Self-Compassion, Mindfulness and Detachment for Stressful Work from Psychosomatic Point of View

Abstract
For psychosomatic medicine, many people have been concerned about interpersonal stress at work, mutual compassion, self-care, self-compassion and various problems at home. Self-care responses to workplace stress can be divided into two categories, where i) intuitive, idiosyncratic, and even egocentric approaches, and ii) approaches to support workers, such as psychology, psychiatry, medicine, and spirituality. Bricolage is currently attracting attention. It is a new term of business methodology utilizing information and materials from various sources. The concept of bricolage is used in art, craft, biology, education and information systems. Self-care, self-compassion, mindfulness and meaningful detachment can possibly support such subjects.

In recent years, psychosomatic medicine has been attracting attention. Behind this, the fact exists in the background that lots of people are concerned about interpersonal relationships and stressful situations at work, mutual compassion and various problems at home, and self-care such as healing and hope for themselves. Stress in the workplace is considerable and causes personal suffering. Traditionally, work motivation, fulfillment, and satisfaction have been investigate, but attention has been not paid to stress and suffering [1]. Various efforts have been found by people involved in work at the workplace. When a project does not progress well, several stressful matters associated with self-care were not paid attention [2].
It is important to utilize all care options, including medical, psychiatric, and spiritual treatments and self-reflection, to address these issues [3]. In other words, we must focus on the individual, the human spirit, and the spiritual, and take an integrated approach to addressing these issues. In this way, it is important to emphasize the individual's response to significant workplace stressors. We need to explore how staff, leaders, and therapists adapt and rethink individual and team approaches to stress and mentally healthy workplaces. Self-care responses to workplace stress can be divided into two categories: one is intuitive, idiosyncratic, and even egocentric approaches, and the other is approaches to support workers, such as psychology, psychiatry, medicine, and spirituality [4].
Bricolage has been in focus for several categories [5]. It is a new business methodology that utilizes information and materials from a variety of sources [6]. Bricolage involves gathering together items that are available on the spot, using them as parts, and ultimately creating something new through trial and error. The word comes from the French "bricoler."[7]. Since it has the connotation of amateur work or do-it-yourself, it has usually been translated as "handy work," referring to making do with available means and tools. In arts and crafts, bricolage refers to the technique of constructing a work from various materials that are available. In music, this term has been used in a variety of situations, from ancient to modern folk music and popular music [8]. When used as a musical instrument, it is applied when various objects around us can become actual instrument, such as spoons, empty cans, leaves, paper, tools, and kitchen utensils.
In biology, the state where various living creatures exist has been expressed as "bricolage". When thinking about evolution, the creatures are not born based on an initial blueprint [9]. Actually, the creatures exist associated with some changes adding to already existing lineage, which is called bricolage. In education, analytical solving methods are usually applied in many situations. In contrast to this, bricolage is used when solving problems and learning are tried through challenges and play. In information systems, strategic information systems (SIS) are usually implemented by top-down direction [10]. On the other hand, the method of allowing bottom-up improvement is called bricolage. The evolution of the Internet world was found in the traditional "planner approach." On the other hand, the bricolage coding method refers to a step-by-step growth and reevaluation process.
From mentioned above, we can grasp the general meaning of bricolage. A researcher engaged in bricolage is a reflective insider who seeks to construct options by embracing constant change, challenge, and criticism. Such a researcher tends to use any material or opportunity existing around him for solving the current problems [11]. The research process includes a subjective process of immersion, enlightenment, release, explanation, and integration in order to grow in self-awareness and self-discovery.
Here, let us consider the relationship between work and stress. For example, we suppose the case of starting a new job at the workplace and getting used to it. In an ideal case, one gradually learns the job, becomes immersed in it, finds meaning in it, and feels a sense of purpose and fulfillment in it. However, if certain kind of stressor may occur, this process is easily interrupted midway. Until now, lots of research were present on the meaning of work in the past. Among them, there were research on increasing motivation and commitment to work that studied the degree of the engagement, happiness, and resilience. However, there has been no research on what happens when these trials were failed [12]. Given that several stressors create suffering and have various effects on the workplace, research on disorders of grasping meaning and self-judgment would be also meaningful.
People respond to workplace stress in a variety of ways. These include self-judgment, self-blame, low self-esteem, humility, and meaningful indifference [13]. In other words, it is rational to simply physically remove yourself from work. However, this is not enough, and there may be psychological and mental trauma, and you may ruminate and re-create your pain. Therefore, self-compassion is required. In this case, it is important to be able to recognize why you are leaving, what you are attached to, and what is maladaptive. These were also respectfully positioned from the perspectives of mindfulness, positive psychology, and spirituality. From the above, self-compassionate reflection and the associated choice of care create opportunities for meaningful engagement, better utilize resources, and structure focused responses in times of crisis [13].
Regarding the conceptual framework, several factors can theoretically work together, such as self-compassion, self-care, humility, and meaningful detachment. For a practical level, people with stressed situation may choose the necessary self-caring from reflecting, feeling and seeking to make meaningful investigation. Such framework will be developed to stimulate action and research.
In summary, this paper presents practical strategies for managing stress in the future, including pre-crisis efforts, the added value of "self-care" that can benefit both individuals and teams, how personal values ??and choices can drive stress-reducing behaviors, and how to put stressful events and problems into a meaningful perspective [14]. This article is hopefully useful for medical staffs in controlling stress in the future.
