Abstract

SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis in the field of tourism has emerged as a valuable tool for comprehensively evaluating the internal and external factors influencing a particular destination. The study evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), aiming to offer insights into its current status and propose strategies for a sustainable and thriving community in Sitio Darayaw, Panaytayan, Mansalay Oriental Mindoro. This SWOT analysis comprehensively explores three key initiatives—Eco-Tourism and Adventure Packages, Community-Based Homestay Program, and Community-Led Conservation Projects-to uncover their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Rich biodiversity and cultural immersion opportunities characterize the Eco-Tourism and Adventure Packages, while the Homestay Program provides an authentic cultural experience. Community-Led Conservation Projects leverage local knowledge and commitment. The analysis suggests strategic implications and recommendations for each initiative, emphasizing responsible tourism practices, infrastructure development, safety measures, and community engagement. The findings contribute to a strategic roadmap, offering insights for the sustainable development of Sitio Darayaw while preserving its natural and cultural heritage. This holistic approach integrates on-site observations, resident interviews, and a thorough analysis of existing initiatives, providing a foundation for informed decision-making in the pursuit of sustainable tourism.
